On Saturday 28th November, the Cape Times will be bringing together a group of nutrition and sugar addiction experts from around the world to talk about the changing landscape of our diets and lifestyles.
Among the group of professionals spearheading the sugar-free movement is Professor Tim Noakes, co-author of The Real Meal Revolution who recently came under the knife from the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa) for a tweet regarding infant feeding. With his hearing ongoing at the moment, Professor Noakes will discuss “What the Trial Tells of the Current State of Nutrition Education in Medicine and Dietetics” at the breakfast.
Joining Professor Noakes on Saturday in his plight to educate is Karen Thomson, co-author of Sugar-Free: 8 Weeks to Freedom from Sugar and Carb Addiction, sharing her personal story; Aseem Malhotra, Cardiologist and Anti-Sugar Activist, on “You Can’t Outgym a Bad Diet”; and Dietician Dr Caryn Zinn on “Working With Dieticians to Create Diet Change.” With a line up like this, and hot off the heels of the Noakes trial, we cannot wait to hear what these experts have to say on the topic!
Not just that, but the Table Bay Hotel, who are hosting the breakfast, are planning to serve the most incredible Banting Breakfast for everyone, and we have a ton of exciting exhibitors coming along to display and sell their “healthy living” wares. It is going to be quite a morning!
If you would like to join us, ticket info is available in the daily Cape Times.
Please support Professor Noakes while he is under trial by signing the petition.
“The Sugar Free Revolution was started to expose the addictive and toxic properties of refined and processed sugar and carbohydrates in our diets, and help people just like you to break their addiction, lose weight, and feel incredible again!”
– Karen Thomson, Founder of The Sugar Free Revolution
