Pimp my low carb burger (with bun)

I am so tired of having bun-less low carb burgers…. I really am. I found this delightfully easy almond flour bun recipe and it turned out great!

For 6 almond flour buns you will need:

6 eggs

100g butter

150g of almond flour

2tsp baking powder

Preheat oven to 180″C.

Grease a bread loaf tin or use individual moulds if you have.

Mix all the ingredients together. (it’s rather runny so don’t stress you haven’t left anything out)

Pour into tin or moulds and bake for approximately 25-35 minutes until set and tester inserted into centre comes out clean.

Remove from tin or moulds and let cool.

Make your burger patties as usual and when ready either slice loaf in 6 equal pieces (this is what I did in my unsophisticated kitchen) cut and half and slather in butter.

Pimp your low carb burger with whatever you fancy such as:

Cheese (cheddar, brie, camembert, blue)

Lettuce, pickles, tomato, onion etc

Homemade mayo

Chillies

and whatever else tickles your fancy.
