Boil those bones: Bone broth

Bone broth is a mineral-rich infusion made by boiling bones of healthy animals. This inexpensive superfood will not only heal your gut but leave your skin glowing and hair luscious as it is packed with minerals and the amino acids proline and glycine which The Paleo Mom refers to as ‘the biological glue that holds our bodies together‘.

Anyone familiar with the GAPS diet will be able to testify to the healing benefits which include:

I certainly don’t and I make sure that bone broth forms the base of many of my meals. I also drink it, sounds strange I know but it has become a staple in my diet. Another favourite of mine is having it for breakfast with a poached egg in it.
